The Cenmed Advantage

We ask a lot of questions so that you receive kits that meet your needs. First, you’ll complete a questionnaire to ensure we fully understand how your facility operates. Using that information, we will review, analyze, and codify your needs based on your end kit users’ characteristics and regulatory requirements.

After we understand your specific needs, we rely on our vast experience to recommend the best way to create your custom kit. Our recommendations are based on parameters like:

  • Are your products FDA registered?
  • Do your products have a medical device classification?
  • Is clean room packaging required?
  • Can the kit assembly be automated, or should it be done by hand?
  • How fast do you need the kits?
  • How many kits do you need?
  • Do you need a unique packaging configuration?

Types of kits and packages we produce include:

  • Urinalysis diagnostic kits
  • Cardiac point-of-care kits
  • Hematopathology kits
  • Blood mailers
  • Prostate biopsy kits
  • Specimen transport boxes
  • OEM kits for medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies

Clinicians standing in hospital

Cenmed worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to organize a network of suppliers to provide smallpox testing ancillary kits and assemble them in environmentally controlled facilities. To achieve this, we created and managed a seamless collective of integrated independent companies to assemble the smallpox diagnostic test ancillary components in a resealable container while ensuring GMP certification compliance.

Exterior of healthcare facility

Cenmed created collection kit uniformity among NYC Health+Hospitals’ 11 acute care hospitals, five nursing homes, six diagnostic and treatment centers, and 70+ clinics. We expanded specimen collection device options, developed standardized collection kits, created clinician user guides, consolidated purchasing operations, and achieved cost savings via volume.

Hospital hallway

Cenmed minimized the level of effort required by clinicians to collect multiple specimens at Westchester Medical Center. We developed a cost-effective solution without reengineering an entirely new kit. Instead, we added an additional collection component to an existing evacuated closed system.
